|UK e-Commerce Needs Fibre|
The UK market for FTTH – a bit like the UK summer – is taking a while to heat up. However in further evidence of what seems to be a sustained warming trend, the Communication Management Association has issued research that suggest that UK companies’ e-commerce operations will suffer unless broadband speeds are increased.
Over a third of the businesses interviewed said they need speeds of 100 Mbps to address the demands of next generation services over the coming two years.
The CMA – which is part of the British Computer Society – is a membership organisation for professionals and organisations focused on exploiting communications and networks for business advantage. Its members spend around €16 billion (£13 billion) on communications annually.
