|Deutsche Telekom: Ready to Cooperate with Competitors on Fibre-deployments|
A siginificant change in strategy of Deutsche Telekom (DTAG) was recently announced: The incumbant is willing to cooperate with competitors on the deployment of the fibre-network in regions where they don't see a business-case to roll out the network on their own.
DTAG seems to be pro-active on this new approach as recent new-reports talk about negotiantions with several competitors. There seem to be contacts with Netcologne (which builds an FTTB-network in Cologne) regarding deployment in the German City Aachen.
This cooperation-decison is a new approach for DTAG as the incumbent had built all networks on it's on in the past.
