|Chinese Feed Internet Appetite with Fibre|
Homes and businesses across China are benefitting from the fastest deployment of FTTH anywhere in the world.
According to the latest estimates, 6m Chinese subscribers will be connected to either FTTB or FTTH by the end of 2008, and there are plans to add 13-18m in 2009. This explosion in supply is hastening the development and deployment of next-generation 10G EPON technology.
Meanwhile it is expected that Japan and South Korea will have 17.5m and 9m FTTH subscribers respectively, by the end of 2009.
