The FTTH Council Europe is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 7th edition of its annual FTTH Conference. This flagship event – the largest of its kind in Europe – will take place on the 24th and 25th February 2010 at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa in Lisbon, Portugal.
Building on the huge success of last year’s event, which attracted more than 2,200 delegates, 74 speakers, and 71 exhibitors, the FTTH Conference 2010 in Lisbon promises to set new records.
Chosen to reflect this year’s theme “Taking your life to new horizons”, the speaking sessions will examine how fibre access networks can enhance the quality of life for Europe’s citizens, by considering the new applications and services they enable, like videoconferencing, telehealth, remote working, education, online entertainment, and how to develop new business models around these applications.
Results from the highly respected studies commissioned by the FTTH Council Europe will also be presented during the conference, including the latest update to the market panorama and forecast, and analysis of the socioeconomic benefits of fibre-to-the-home. Other sessions will cover new technologies and architectures, regulatory issues, and the opportunities created by the European economic stimulus package.
An exhibitors’ hall will provide hands-on experience of the latest technologies and solutions, and provide the opportunity to network and share experiences with other industry experts, vendors, telecoms operators, policy makers, regulators, content providers, media and analysts.
The event has been extremely popular in previous years; delegates are encouraged to register as early as possible in order to secure places.
